Heaven and How to Get There
1. Admit you are a sinner.
Romans 3:23 (KJV) “For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;”
No one is good enough to go to heaven on his own merit. No matter how much good we do, we still come short.
2. Realize the penalty for sin.
Romans 6:23a (KJV) “For the wages of sin is death;…”
Just as there are wages for good, there is for sin. The penalty for our sin is eternal death in a place the Bible calls hell.
3. Believe that Christ died, was buried, and rose for you.
Romans 10:9 (KJV) “That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.”
4. Trust Christ alone as your Saviour.
Romans 6:23b (KJV) “…But the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.”
Romans 10:13 (KJV) “For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.”
Eternal life is a gift purchased by the blood of Christ and offered freely to those who call upon Him by faith. Anyone who believes on the Lord Christ will be saved forever. Being saved is a once in a lifetime event!
